Why Food Means So Much to Me

Growing up in Puerto Rico, some of my favorite memories weren't tied to landmarks—they happened around the table. Sunday lunches often stretched for hours as family and friends gathered to share stories, laugh, and enjoy another helping of arroz con gandules or mofongo. Even today, whenever I return to San Juan, I find myself recreating those moments. A great meal isn't just about the food; it's about slowing down, spending time together, and enjoying Puerto Rico's warm hospitality.
