"The store have everything you can imagine from Puerto Rico. Music, clothing, food, artesania, games, books, videos, etc. They have frozen food for you to take home: morcillas, pasteles, empanadillas de pizza, alcapurrias, etc. They also have chicarron de Bayamon and Brazo Gitano de Franco. The owners are very friendly.

"Also known as La Fruteria, this supermercado is a hidden treasure. Everything and anything Puerto Rican. Located in the heart of the Puerto Rican community in Chicago. Well worth the trip. You will find everything from yautias, yuca, ñame, batatas, platanos, Ggineo verde (extra green), ajies dulces, recao, panapen, quenepas (when in season), and Puerto Rican avocados. Grocery items include full line of Goya products, Florecitas, Naturola Syrups, Royal Borinquen crackers, Vanilla Imperial Galletas, maltas, Lotus pina juice & crema de coco, Betis olive oil, Carmela Salchichas and Merenguitos. La Carniceria includes everything from pernil de puerco, carne de puerco, pescado sierra, bacalao sin y con espina, bola de res, to mortella, tasajo, and tocino. The list goes on and on.
